With 1 in 3 Americans developing cancer in their lifetimes, it is possible that each one of the members of the Baruch College community is personally involved with cancer. It may be that a friend, a peer, a co-worker, a family member, or even s/he herself/himself has or has had cancer. Cancer has no sexual, age, race/ethnicity, or socio-economic preference. Cancer knows no boundaries but you can stand against it. Exercise your power to Fight Back Against Cancer Today! Join us in helping to save a life: your friend’s life, your peer's life, your family member’s life, your own life... Wear anything pink and/or purple today to show solidarity, and bring your donations to the "power of Pink and Purple" Booth located on the 2nd Floor Lobby of the Vertical Campus. This event has varied from year to year, but has included a costume contest in which students dress as a woman they wish to honor by making a short presentation about her. Also, an Art Exhibition Project, which consists of posters created by students to celebrate women's achievements through history. Join us.
